Chris van Melle Kamp is the founder and CEO of Future Purpose, which he established after having worked in the leadership and talent space for more than 20 years.
Chris was previously a Global Partner of Spencer Stuart, where he assisted local and global companies to find senior executives and Board Directors for their operations in South Africa and other parts of the world.
His experience covers a wide range of industries and functional leadership roles having placed hundreds of executives in multiple markets, in key positions, over a period of 15 years. His expertise extends to the realm of leadership assessment, CEO succession and transition, career advisory as well as business culture and its alignment with strategy and business delivery.
Before joining Spencer Stuart, Chris was one of the founding Directors of the Gordon Institute of Business Science where he developed and lead the Executive Education programmes .
He had previously represented South Africa as a diplomat in numerous capacities that included: Private Secretary to the Administrator General in Namibia, South African Mission to the United Nations in New York, Deputy Director developing relations with Central Europe, South America and Russia and Deputy Ambassador to France.
He is a former Chairman and current Trustee of the Natures Valley Trust, Chairman of Sea Change Project and Trustee of Columba Leadership
He is married to Jane Sims and has one daughter, Lindsay.
